For addresses fibre doesn’t reach. from 50 Mbps up and down* — so video calls, cloud backup and working from home hold up, not just streaming. We install it, we support it, and we can sort the WiFi and cabling inside the house while we’re there.
* Fixed Wireless speeds depend on clear line-of-sight from your address to one of our towers. We confirm what your address can actually achieve at the site visit — before you commit to anything.

Lightspeed wasn't created in a boardroom by a national telecommunications company.
It grew out of a local technology business that had been supporting homes and businesses throughout the Queenstown Lakes district for decades. As technology became more important, one challenge kept appearing: reliable internet access wasn't keeping pace with the region's needs.
So we built a network.
What started as a way to solve local connectivity challenges evolved into Lightspeed — a locally owned technology and connectivity provider serving homes, businesses, events, and productions throughout the Queenstown Lakes district.
Today, we own and operate network infrastructure throughout the region, delivering internet services to homes, businesses, rural properties, apartments, accommodation providers, events, and production companies. Because we're local, we understand the unique challenges that come with providing connectivity in one of New Zealand's most geographically diverse regions.
We're local, independent, and invested in this region. Over the years, we've built an extensive wireless network across the Queenstown Lakes district while delivering fibre services to homes and businesses throughout the area. Whatever technology sits behind your connection, you'll always have a local team standing behind the service.
While broadband is at the heart of what we do, Lightspeed has always been about helping people connect. Our team designs and installs fibre and wireless connections, builds WiFi networks, provides structured cabling, supports business infrastructure, and delivers specialist connectivity solutions for events, broadcasting, and film production.
Whether it's a family home, a growing business, a remote rural property, or a major international production, our approach remains the same: deliver reliable connectivity backed by knowledgeable local support.
Technology never stands still, and neither do we. We're continually investing in our network, infrastructure, and people to ensure our customers have access to reliable, high-performance connectivity today and well into the future.
Because great internet isn't just about speed — it's about having a local team you can rely on when it matters.
Your flat doesn't have its own fibre box? No problem. If there's already a fibre connection at the main house, we can set you up with a completely independent connection using the existing infrastructure.
Fibre boxes (ONTs) installed by Chorus have the capacity to support multiple services. We activate a second fibre connection on the existing box and run it to your unit with a dedicated router. You get your own independent service — physically separate with completely separate monthly billing.
Both plans include unlimited data.
💡 Why this works: We've installed hundreds of dual connections in situations just like yours — it's a proven solution. The setup takes about 2 hours and you'll have a fast, reliable fibre connection in your flat.
